Zelenskyy discusses with Sandu Ukraine's assistance in evacuation of Moldovan citizens from Gaza Strip

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a telephone conversation with Moldovan President Maia Sandu on Wednesday.

"I was glad to talk with President Maia Sandu on a historic day for Ukraine and Moldova. We congratulated each other on the published reports of the European Commission, which recommends starting negotiations with our countries on joining the European Union. We agreed to coordinate the next joint steps," the President wrote on Telegram.

Also, according to Zelenskyy, the parties discussed Ukraine's assistance in the evacuation of Moldovan citizens from the Gaza Strip and the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.

The Head of State thanked Sandra for the participation of the Moldovan representative in the meeting of advisers in Malta.
