President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that he has a plan for conducting military operations for the next year.
"We will try to show results this year. And this is very important for us, because we are losing people every day. Fewer than Russians is a good piece of news, but that people are dying is a very bad piece of news," he said, speaking via video link at the Reuters NEXT conference on Wednesday.
Zelenskyy noted that "we have some steps forward in the south of our country. We also have steps in the east, and I think there are some good steps near Kherson region. I am sure that success awaits us."
He expressed the opinion that the slow decision-making by partners on arms supplies led to the fact that Russia had time to create minefields.
"We have been waiting for ammunition for seven months and Russia has used this time to mine it all," he said.
"And we have a plan for the next year. Yes, we have a plan for the next year, we are trying to plan it, but I will not share it," Zelenskyy said.
