Kuleba: EU presents vision regarding possible form of special tribunal, additional discussion to be held
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba has said that the EU Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders presented him with the vision of the European Union on the possible form of a special tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.
“Commissioner Reynders presented me with the vision of the European Union regarding the possible form of a special tribunal to prosecute the crime of Russian aggression against Ukraine. The European Union has been working on this option for a very long time. Today I have got the opportunity to discuss in detail the format of this tribunal,” Kuleba said during a conversation with journalists in Brussels.
According to the minister, they agreed to hold an additional discussion to evaluate this proposal from a legal and political point of view.
“But this is a shift, I do not know how else this discussion will end, but it is definitely a shift from the dead point where the discussion has been for a certain time,” the Foreign Minister said.
