Umerov informs Austin on current requirements of Ukraine: Soldiers need more ammunition

Defense Minister of Ukraine Rustem Umerov held a weekly phone call with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III, the Defense Ministry of Ukraine has said on the Telegram channel on Saturday.

"I thank the United States and Secretary Austin for the new package of defense assistance to Ukraine. We discussed the latest frontline updates and the preparedness of the defense forces from the future. I informed him about the current requirements of Ukraine: more ammunition for our soldiers," Umerov said.

The Ukrainian minister also thanked the United States for its consistent and unwavering support.
