Talks on Ukraine's membership in EU may begin in Dec – Finnish PM

Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo believes that negotiations between the EU and Ukraine on membership in the union may begin in December, Yle reports.

"In my opinion, Ukraine has made good progress in fulfilling the tasks that were set for it (to join the EU)," the head of government said.

According to him, in a week a report will be prepared on how the applicant countries have progressed in fulfilling the requirements for joining the European Union.
