AFU holding positions in Kupyansk, Avdiyivka directions – Zelenskyy
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) continue to hold positions in Kupyansk and Avdiyivka directions despite heavy fighting, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said following a conference call.
“Daily selector. I have received reports on the arrival of equipment, ammunition, new contracts and new geography of supplies, heard information on the front. In Kupyansk and Avdiyivka, there are heavy, sticky battles, but our soldiers are holding their positions,” the President said.
He noted that “the enemy is trying to indiscriminately destroy everything he can get his hands on.” “Beryslav, Borova. We are eliminating the consequences of shelling, helping people,” Zelenskyy said.
The head of state also said that Ukraine is preparing for attacks by Russian terrorists on the energy infrastructure.
“This year we will not only defend ourselves, but also respond. The enemy knows this well. First, they removed the fleet from Crimea, and now they are moving their aviation further from our borders,” the President said.
