Moldova to host joint military exercise with U.S. on Oct 25-31
Moldova will host the scheduled Aurochs Partner 2023 joint exercise with the United States next week, the Moldovan Defense Ministry's press service said.
The exercise will take place in northern Moldova from October 25 to October 31 at the training centers of bases operated by the Dechebal Aviation Regiment in the city of Marculesti and the Moldova Motorized Infantry Brigade in Balti.
According to the exercise scenario, the military will perform parachute jumps along the border of the Floresti and Falesti territories adjacent to the cities. Infantry weapons will also be used during the exercise.
Previously, from September 10 to September 22, Moldova hosted the Scutul de Foc/Rapid Trident 2023 multinational combined military exercise, which around 500 Moldovan, Romanian and U.S. troops took part in. The exercise involved live fire drills with infantry and artillery. In addition, the last exercise of the year for reservists took place at the Moldovan National Army's training ranges in late September.
