Defense Ministry’s Dept of Press and Info to be headed by Pavliuk
The Press and Information Department in the Ministry of Defense will be headed by an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ilarion Pavliuk.
“I accept the new position of head of the Press and Information Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. New tasks, new ambitious direction, huge responsibility. Thanks to the Minister of Defense for believing in me and my team,” Pavliuk wrote on Facebook on Thursday.
Before that, Pavliuk served in the Main Intelligence Agency: “I’m incredibly proud of the right to wear an owl on a chevron, which I had for this one and a half years.”
Previously, the Press and Information Department was headed by Hanna Maliar. She, along with other deputies of former Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov, were fired on September 18.
