Rada adopts bill prohibiting activities of religious organizations affiliated with Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine
The Verkhovna Rada passed at first reading bill No. 8371 prohibiting activities of the religious organizations affiliated with the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine, a member of the Holos faction, Yaroslav Zhelezniak, has said.
"Bill No. 8371 prohibiting the religious organizations associated with Russia has been passed at first reading," he said on the Telegram channel on Thursday.
According to the MP, 267 parliamentarians voted in favor of the document at first reading at a Thursday plenary session.
As reported, the draft law was registered in the Verkhovna Rada on January 19, 2023.
