Zelenskyy not denied visit to Israel, but asked to agree on dates – Kuleba
Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba has said that the Israeli side did not refuse Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a “solidarity visit” to the State of Israel.
“We don't feel rejected. We discussed with them [the Israeli side] the visit immediately after the Hamas attack, and they told us that we would have to wait. At that time, no foreign leader was expected in Tel Aviv. Now the phase has changed,” Kuleba said in an interview with the Italian publication Repubblica.
Earlier, Israeli media wrote that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked to make a visit as a sign of solidarity after the Hamas attack on Israel, but he was told that “the time is not right yet.”
