Zelenskyy, President of South Africa discuss need to continue export of Ukrainian grain
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with President of the Republic of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa.
"We stated the need to continue the export of Ukrainian grain, which is critical for global food security," the head of state said in his Telegram channel on Tuesday evening.
"I invited South Africa to participate in the second Grain From Ukraine summit. It is crucial that South Africa supports the Ukrainian Peace Formula and will participate in the next rounds of negotiations on the Formula. It is equally important that relations between Ukraine and South Africa are significantly increasing, primarily on at the highest level," Zelenskyy said.
According to him, the parties also exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East and discussed the possibility of evacuating South African citizens from the conflict zone in the region.
