URCS distributes more than 246,000 food packages to residents of Kherson, Kharkiv regions this year
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) this year has donated more than 246,000 food packages from the World Food Program to residents of Kherson and Kharkiv regions.
“For the nine months of 2023, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society donated more than 246,000 food packages from the World Food Program to Kherson and Kharkiv regions,” the URCS reported on Facebook.
A grocery set weighing more than 13 kg includes food products such as pasta, cereals, sugar, canned food, and edible oil.
Distributing food packages to residents of regions being constantly under Russian shelling is one of the important tasks of URCS volunteers.
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society and the World Food Program have been implementing a joint project to provide food packages in Kherson region and Chuhuyiv district of Kharkiv region since February 2023.
