President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has thanked the United States for the decision to impose sanctions on the companies that violated the Russian oil price cap set in the world.

"There are first sanctions introduced by the United States against the companies that violated the Russian oil price cap established in the world. Thank you for such a sanction step!" he said in a vide message on Thursday evening.

At the same time, Zelenskyy said it is necessary "to continue posing pressure and depriving Russia of a possibility to receive funds for aggression due to any energy resources."
