Shmyhal discusses with PM of Slovakia transit of Ukrainian agricultural products
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal hopes for Slovakia to join the mechanism for verification and coordination of four groups of Ukrainian agricultural exports operating with Romania and Bulgaria.
He announced this on his Telegram channel on Wednesday evening following a conversation with Prime Minister of Slovakia Ľudovít Ódor, during which the heads of government discussed issues of transit of Ukrainian agricultural products.
"We are working together with the European Commission to expand the solidarity lanes with Slovakia. There is progress in this direction. Ukraine has introduced a mechanism for verification and coordination of four groups of Ukrainian agricultural exports, currently operating with Romania and Bulgaria. This is the basis for further dialogue. We expect that Slovakia will also join such an initiative and lift national restrictions on Ukrainian agricultural products," Shmyhal wrote.
The head of the Ukrainian government said that he thanked Ódor "for constructive cooperation and support."
