Finland to send Ukraine 19th military aid package worth EUR 95 mln – govt
Finnish President Sauli Väinämö on Wednesday supported the government's proposal and decided to supply the 19th aid package to Ukraine, which will include military equipment totaling about EUR 95 million, according to the Finnish government's website.
"The outcome of the war in Ukraine will determine the security order of Europe and Finland far into the future. This is why we will continue our determined support for Ukraine together with our allies. The total value of the defence materiel packages delivered by Finland to Ukraine is now EUR 1.4 billion," Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen said.
For operational reasons, and to ensure that the assistance will reach its destination safely, further details on the content of the package, the way it is to be delivered or the schedule will not be given. Both Ukraine's needs and the resources of the Defence Forces have been taken into account when deciding on additional assistance, the report notes.
