Zelenskyy: Successes in foreign policy give Ukrainians necessary motivation
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted the importance of the fact that "Ukraine's success in international relations gives additional motivation to our soldiers at the front and to our people in general."
"Of course, we all… set winning as a top priority. We understand that people objectively feel that they need new internal strength, energy to fight, to make progress," he said, speaking at a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities in Ivano-Frankivsk on Sunday, July 20.
"That is why there is a specific task – Ukraine's readiness to start accession negotiations with the European Union. The EU is a motivation. And it will be very necessary and powerful support of our people," the president said.
Addressing Parliament Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk, Zelenskyy said "it will be right if the people's deputies of Ukraine feel that their communities expect very positive foreign policy successes of Ukraine from them. And it is important to do it now."
