Syrsky visits combat brigades in Bakhmut, Lyman directions

Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky, with regard to the difficult situation, visited the combat brigades in the Bakhmut and Lyman directions in order to adjust plans, listen to the commanders' reports and their vision of the situation.

"I visited our combat brigades in two active directions. In connection with the difficult and opposite situation in the Bakhmut and Lyman directions, it was necessary to adjust our plans, listen to the commanders, find out their vision of the situation, problems and make balanced, adequate decisions. It is important for me to understand what a commander and a soldier needs directly on the battlefield and where, at present, we have the most difficult situation," he said on the Telegram channel on Tuesday.

Syrsky also met with Ukrainian soldiers to present them with awards and valuable gifts.

"We continue to knock the enemy out of our land! We continue to defend Ukraine from the occupier! The truth is on our side, which means – Victory [will be ours]," he said.
