Maliar: Defense forces liberate over 210 sq km of territories from occupiers, 18 sq km last week

During the counteroffensive, the Defense Forces liberated 210 square kilometers of territory, Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Hanna Maliar said on Monday morning.

"Over the last week, as a result of offensive actions, in general, almost 18 square kilometers were liberated. In general, the liberated area during the offensive is 210.5 square kilometers," she said in her Telegram channel.

In particular, Maliar said that over the last week, as a result of the improvement of the operational (tactical) situation and the alignment of the frontline in Bakhmut direction, an area of seven square kilometers was liberated. In total, during the offensive in this direction, the liberated area is 31 square kilometers.

According to the deputy minister, in the south, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in Melitopol and Berdiansk directions. Liberated territories per week increased by 10.9 square kilometres.

"In general, the advance since the offensive in the south is 9.25 kilometers, the liberated area is 179.5 square kilometers," she said.

As for the losses of the enemy, in the period from July 10 to July 16 in Tavria direction, some 134 units of enemy military equipment, 36 enemy ammunition depots and two depots with fuel and lubricants were destroyed.
