Zelenskyy to personally take part in G7 summit in Japan – Danilov
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will personally take part in the Group of Seven (G7) summit in Japan, Radio Svodoba reports, citing NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov.
"Very important decisions will be taken there, and therefore the presence of our president is absolutely important for defending our interests," Danilov is quoted by the media on Telegram.
This will be the first visit of the President of Ukraine to Asia since the beginning of a full-scale invasion.
The war in Ukraine is the main topic of the three-day summit, which begins in Hiroshima on May 19. The leaders are expected to make a joint statement of support for Ukraine and unveil new measures to limit Russia's ability to finance and provide for the war, Radio Svodoba reminds.
Earlier it was reported about Zelenskyy's participation in the summit via videoconference.
