Cases of forced displacement of children by Russia can generally represent crimes against humanity – Macron
French President Emmanuel Macron has called on the Russian Federation to immediately return children forcibly displaced from Ukraine.
"The forced displacement of children is a war crime. In general, they can represent crimes against humanity. Russia must return its children to Ukraine. It should do it immediately," he wrote on Twitter following his speech at the opening of the Council of Europe summit.
The fourth summit of the Council of Europe on May 16-17 is being held in the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik.
Earlier it was noted that the International Register of Losses Caused by the Aggression of the Russian Federation will be presented at the summit, the creation of a special international tribunal and a comprehensive international compensation mechanism will be supported.
