Prigozhin's statements on 'shell hunger' are absolutely untrue – Cherevaty

The statements of the owner of the Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin about the alleged "shell shortage" do not correspond to reality, his main problem is the constant destruction of the Wagner forces and the impossibility of replenishing the personnel, spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevaty said.

"There is no shell hunger. This is absolutely not true. Maybe they slightly reduced their 'soldering' of shells, but there are more than enough shells to fire at our positions," Cherevaty said on the air of the national telethon.

According to the spokesman, in Bakhmut and Lyman-Kupiansk directions, the enemy uses more than 25,000 shells per day.

"The main reason for Prigozhin's statements is that he took on military obligations and is not able to fulfil them, including the capture of Bakhmut. And he comes up with this nonsense about shell hunger, although in fact his main problem is the constant destruction of personnel by our military and the inability to replenish them," Cherevaty said.

He said the Russian invaders are still trying to take Bakhmut.

"Some 29 clashes occurred during these days in the direction. Some 415 times the enemy struck from cannon and rocket artillery at our positions, six air raids took place," Cherevaty said.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine said that during the day 124 invaders were destroyed in battles, 164 were injured.

"An enemy T-62 tank, two Strizh electronic warfare stations and five ammunition depots were also shot down," the spokesman said.

Earlier, the owner of Wagner PMC Prigozhin published online photos of the loss of Russian occupiers who allegedly died due to the fact that the Russian army did not give shells to the Wagner forces.
