AFU Air Forces destroy 18 of 24 Shahed-136/131 launched by enemy on May 4 night

The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the night of Thursday, May 4, destroyed 18 shock Shaheds out of 24 that attacked Ukraine from the north and south, the press service of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

"On the night of May 4, 2023, the enemy again attacks with shaheds from the northern direction (Bryansk region) and from the south – the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov. The occupiers used up to 24 shock drones of Shahed-136/131 type," the message posted on Facebook says.

It is emphasized that by means of the Air Forces, in cooperation with the air defense of other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, 18 attack UAVs were destroyed.

It is also reported that a reconnaissance UAV was shot down. "Combat work was carried out in the northern, central and southern regions of Ukraine. Anti–aircraft missile weapons, aviation and mobile firing groups were used in the areas of responsibility of the Air Command Pivden (South) and the Air Command Center," the AFU added.
