Danilov says Ukraine to liberate Crimea in any way it deems necessary
Ukraine will liberate the Russian-occupied Crimea peninsula "in such a way as it deems necessary," Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said.
"It's hard for me to say whether they will give something away without a fight. All I can say is that if necessary, we will release in such a way that we consider necessary at the time of making certain decisions," Danilov told Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
He said "if there is a need for us to use slightly different means there, they will certainly be used."
"We are not going to ask anyone for permission about this. This is our land, and our task is to liberate it," Danilov said.
The NSDC Secretary also commented on the recent explosions in Sevastopol.
"...These signals are going accordingly. I think that people who have a little bit of intelligence have an understanding that they need to get out of the peninsula as soon as possible," Danilov said.
