Ukrainian Air Force shoots down 21 out of 23 enemy cruise missiles, two UAVs in morning – Zaluzhny
On Friday morning, the Ukrainian Air Force shot down 21 out of 23 enemy cruise missiles, as well as two UAVs, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny said.
"At about 04.00, Russian invaders attacked Ukraine from Tu-95 strategic aircraft from the Caspian Sea area. The anti-aircraft missile forces of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in cooperation with the air defense of other components of the Defense Forces, destroyed 21 out of 23 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles, as well as two UAVs of the operational-tactical level," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
Zaluzhny noted that the targets were destroyed in the areas of responsibility of the Center Air Command, the East Air Command and the South Air Command.
