Average retirement benefit in Ukraine is UAH 5,300

The average retirement benefit in Ukraine is around UAH 5,300, Social Policy Minister of Ukraine Oksana Zholnovych has said.

"In general, taking into account the 19.7% increase in retirement benefits for all retirees in March, the average pension we have today is almost UAH 5,300," she said on the air of the national telethon on Monday.

As reported, before the increase, the average retirement benefit amounted to around UAH 4,600.

The indexation of pensions by 19.7% was conducted for 10.5 million retirees from March 1.
