Ship inspections under Grain Initiative in Bosporus resume – Ukrainian minister
Inspections of Grain Initiative vessels are being resumed, despite attempts by the Russian Federation to disrupt the agreement, Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov said on Wednesday following the results of talks held the day before with Turkish Minister of National Defence Hulusi Akar in Kayseri.
"With Turkey, the UN and other partners, we continue consultations on ways to ensure the full implementation of the grain deal in compliance with the obligations of all parties & JCC [Joint Coordination Centre] procedures," Kubrakov said on Twitter.
He thanked the Turkish Minister of National Defence for the constructive dialogue and clear position on supporting the Black Sea Grain Initiative (BSGI).
Following the talks, the Turkish side said that "there was an exchange of views on the steps that need to be taken for a smooth and uninterrupted continuation of the Grain Initiative."
