Berlin confirms transfer of 18 Leopard 2A6 tanks to Ukraine
On Monday evening, the German Ministry of Defense confirmed the transfer of 18 German-made Leopard 2A6 battle tanks to Ukraine.
"We promised - we did: 18 Leopard 2A6 battle tanks, as well as ammunition and spare parts for them, arrived in Ukraine today," the ministry said on Twitter.
Earlier, the German publication Der Spiegel reported that the first batch of Leopard 2 tanks transferred by Germany arrived in Ukraine on Monday.
In March, Germany planned to supply 18 Leopard 2A6 tanks to Ukraine.
