"To provide quality support and care for the mental health of people affected by the war, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society is opening psychosocial support centers in different regions of the country," the URCS said on its Facebook page on Monday.
In the equipped premises of the centers, classes with elements of creativity for children and adults; active games; family events aimed at improving interaction between all family members, psycho-educational sessions, where one can learn how to overcome stress and take care of loved ones are held.
The main objective of psychosocial support activities is to help participants relieve emotional stress, feel safe, increase stress resistance, and also spend time with relatives and friends.
Currently, psychosocial support centers open in Uzhgorod, Poltava, Lviv, Khmelnytsky and Ivano-Frankivsk. In 2023, the centers will appear in large cities of Ukraine. In the near future they will open in Ternopil and Kamianets-Podilsky.
The centers are opened in cooperation with the Danish Red Cross.
