Russia attacks Ukraine from planes, ships and from Iskanders, launches kamikaze drones from Belarus - Defense Ministry
The Russian Federation used eight Tu-95 aircraft, three Tu-160 aircraft from the Caspian Sea and Nizhny Novgorod regions, ships and ground-based operational-tactical missile systems Iskander to launch a massive missile strike on the territory of Ukraine on Monday morning, according to the Facebook page of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
In addition, the occupiers used Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles of the Shahed-136 type from the territory of Belarus and the temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea for strikes. According to preliminary information, nine of them were destroyed.
As of 12:26, the Russian army has used more than 83 cruise missiles. The air defense of the Air Forces, in cooperation with the air defense units of the Ground Forces, shot down 52 air targets, 43 of them cruise missiles.
As of 12:26, Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr regions and other regions were attacked, the ministry reported.
