The explosion on the illegally constructed bridge across the Kerch Strait was a special operation conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), a law enforcement source told Interfax-Ukraine.

"The explosion on the Kerch Strait bridge was a special operation by the SBU," the source said on Saturday.

However, the SBU has not issued any official statements regarding its involvement in the events.
