Congressman Kinzinger initiates resolution allowing US army to be used to defend territorial integrity of Ukraine in case of escalation of Russian aggression

Congressman Adam Kinzinger is initiating a resolution allowing the use of U.S. military forces to defend the territorial integrity of Ukraine in the event of an escalation of Russian aggression, David Arakhamia, head of the Servant of the People faction, said.

"Today, Congressman Adam Kinzinger [Republican from Illinois] has announced a joint resolution that would allow the U.S. Armed Forces to be used to defend the territorial integrity of Ukraine in the event Vladimir Putin escalates the war against Ukraine," Arakhamia wrote on Telegram Sunday.

Kinzinger on Facebook, commenting on the initiative, noted that "words are important, but so are our actions.

"I’m introducing this AUMF as a clear redline so the Administration can take appropriate action if Russia uses chemical, biological, and/or nuclear weapons. We must stand up for humanity and we must stand with our allies," Kinzinger said.
