Zelensky: Russian policy towards Ukraine wrong for decades
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has said that the entire Russian policy towards Ukraine for decades was wrong.
"It just destroyed everything that Russia had in relation to Ukraine from previous times," he said in a video message on Sunday evening.
"They are afraid to admit that for decades they have made erroneous bets and spent colossal resources on supporting complete mediocrities, whom they thought were supposedly the future heroes of Ukrainian-Russian friendship," the president said.
"And those mediocrities were only craftsmen in one thing - in pulling money from Russia into their pockets. In order not to admit mistakes, they made new ones and deprived themselves of political tools and, unwilling to give up unrealistic ambitions, started this war," he said.
