Ukraine in talks with Poland to close border with Belarus – Ukraine's ambassador to Poland
Ukraine is negotiating with Poland on the issue of closing the borders between Poland and Belarus, Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland Andriy Deschytsia has said.
"We are negotiating with the Ministry of Infrastructure of Poland, with the government of Poland in order to completely close the borders. Even if the decision is not made at the EU level," Deschytsia said during the national telethon.
He also said that Ukraine appealed to Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, "so that at the same time these countries close their borders with the Russian Federation and Belarus."
"I think that this decision will be made. Then we won't have to wait for the EU, and we will completely block any deliveries to the Russian Federation," Deschytsia said.
