Almost 150,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid brought to Ukraine in three weeks of March – President's Office
Ukraine received 148,566 tonnes of humanitarian aid from international partners in three weeks of March, Deputy Head of the President's Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko said on his Telegram channel on Monday.
According to him, part of the cargo, namely 38,388 tonnes, was delivered by Ukrzaliznytsia. Car carriers have also done significant work on delivery.
"I want to thank the caring people who help our country, employees of regional logistics hubs, Ukrzaliznytsia, drivers of vehicles, volunteers – everyone who makes efforts to ensure that food, medicines, fuel, and other necessary things get to those cities, villages, towns where people are having the hardest time now," Tymoshenko said.
He added that the headquarters and regional hubs, where humanitarian aid comes in, work smoothly and without unnecessary bureaucracy. From the regional logistics centers, the goods are sent to the distribution points and to the communities of the regions.
