Zelensky calls for disconnecting Russia from GPS, complete isolation of Russia's Central Bank
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called on the G7 member countries to disconnect Russia from GPS and completely isolate the Central Bank of Russia.
"We need a complete embargo on trade with Russia. We need to deprive Russia of the ability to use GPS in war. This is essential. That this system does not help Russian missiles and bombs destroy civilian cities. Russian banks and, most importantly, the Central Bank should receive a complete blockade of the financial system. The military criminals should be left without money, and their frozen assets should turn, among other things, into reparations for the restoration of Ukraine," Zelensky said, speaking at the G7 summit on Thursday.
He said "it is better now to provide support to Ukraine with weapons that it really needs than to look for weapons for other countries later."
"The sooner it happens as we ask, the sooner there will be peace in the east of Europe. This is in our interests. This is also in your interests. This is in the interests of all democrats who must be able to defend themselves. Freedom must be armed," Zelensky said.
