This war to be followed by global food crisis, political destabilization – Zelensky at G7 summit
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at the G7 summit, said that a global food crisis and political destabilization would come after the Russian-Ukrainian war.
"A global disaster has occurred. Russia has destroyed the global security architecture, dealt a powerful blow to international relations. But this is only the beginning. After this war, a global food crisis may come. The longer there is no peace on Ukrainian soil, the less food the world market will receive from Ukraine. In many countries of Asia, Africa, Europe, there may even be emergency problems with access to basic products and food prices," the head of state said.
This, according to the president, will definitely end in political destabilization. "Maybe this is also the goal of the Russian leadership. I do not know, but we all must act immediately. Immediately stop Russian troops, remove them from the territory of Ukraine. Peace is needed immediately, before the planet is faced with an even greater level of problems," he said.
