France should play leading role in new security system – Zelensky in French parliament
Ukraine proposes to create a new system of guarantees that will make security in the world unshakable, and France should play a leading role in it, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said during a speech in the French parliament via video link on Wednesday.
According to Zelensky, already now "we must think about the future, how we will live after this war." "We need guarantees that security will be unshakable and there will be no war. And in general, wars will be impossible," he said.
"We are creating such a system of guarantees, a new security system, in which France, I believe, will play a leading role, so that no one will ever have to beg for it again, so that people live their lives, so that people say goodbye not under bombs, but when your time will come. You need to live in such a way that you are respected, remembered and said goodbye to you the way France said goodbye to the great [Jean-Paul] Belmondo," Zelensky said.
