Private houses, garages, high-rise buildings caught fire in shelling of Kyiv in the morning, one person taken to hospital – State Emergency Service
In the shelling of Kyiv in the Shevchenkivsky district, a number of buildings, including residential buildings, were destroyed and ignited, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has reported.
"On March 23, at about 7:30, the Rescue Service 101 call center received several reports of fire and destruction of houses in the Shevchenkivsky district of Kyiv. In an enemy shelling, fire and destruction of private houses, garages and high-rise buildings occurred at several addresses. There was also a fire in a warehouse," the State Emergency Service said on its Telegram channel.
As of 11:00 a.m., the fires have been extinguished. Demolition work continues. One person was injured and taken to hospital. The information is being detailed.
