Representatives of the State Emergency Service cannot put out a large-scale fire in the town of Trostianets, Sumy region, due to ongoing hostilities, head of the regional military administration Dmytro Zhyvytsky said.

"A very big fire has started... That big fire that is happening today in Trostianets, it is impossible to extinguish it, because fighting continues, it is impossible for the State Emergency Service, firefighters to get there," the head of the regional military administration said in his video message on the night of Tuesday at Wednesday.

At the same time, he asked the residents of Trostianets to close the windows due to the likelihood of significant smoke, and also called on the townspeople to stay in shelters, because "street battles continue and artillery shelling occurs."
