USA, partners prepare to announce new sanctions against Russia on Thursday – Biden adviser
The United States and its Western partners intend to announce new sanctions against Russia on Thursday, Jake Sullivan, national security adviser to U.S. President Joe Biden, has said.
We are talking about a new package of sanctions, he said at a briefing, referring to Biden's upcoming contacts with allies in Europe on Thursday.
At the same time, he noted that the U.S. administration and its allies should work not only to identify new targets for sanctions against the Russian Federation, but also to eliminate loopholes that allow circumventing already introduced measures.
