Mortar strike on Makariv on Friday killed seven, wounded five people – police
As a result of a mortar strike by Russian troops on Makariv (Kyiv region) on Friday, March 18, seven people were killed and five more were wounded, the police of Kyiv region said.
"On March 18, the occupiers fired heavy artillery at the settlements of Buchansky region. As a result of enemy shelling of Makariv, seven civilians were killed. Five people were wounded and are in the hospital," the police said on Facebook.
As a result of the shelling, residential buildings were destroyed, the administrative building and other premises were damaged.
The police are documenting the aftermath and helping residents affected by the airstrike.
