Battles for Azovstal going on in Mariupol, invaders almost destroy it – Denysenko
In the city of Mariupol, battles are going on for the Azovstal metallurgical plant, the invaders continue to destroy it, Vadym Denysenko, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs, said on the air of a telethon.
"Now there are battles for Azovstal. In fact, according to the available data, I can say that we have lost this economic giant. In fact, one of the largest metallurgical plants in Europe is actually being destroyed," Denysenko said on the air on Saturday morning.
He also noted that some people managed to leave Mariupol, and called the situation in the city "catastrophic."
