EU Council of Education Ministers ready to support Ukrainian students arriving in EU member states
At an extraordinary meeting of the EU Council of Ministers of Education, European Commissioner Mariya Gabriel announced her readiness to provide support to meet the needs of Ukrainian students arriving in EU member states, the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science said.
According to the Education Ministry press service, first of all, this is about proper support for the children of Ukraine, as for them there is a serious challenge in the process of integration and adaptation to a new environment and conditions, including learning a new language.
Thus, the commission is ready to act in three directions: financial support for the education system; general recommendations on the reception of refugees; measures to facilitate access to the Ukrainian-speaking educational environment.
In addition, funding opportunities are provided through the Erasmus+ program
