Australia imposes sanctions against 11 Russian banks, state entities - Australian Foreign Ministry
The government of Australia has imposed sanctions against another 11 Russian banks and state entities managing Russia's sovereign debt, the Australian Foreign Ministry said.
The updated sanctions list includes the Russian National Wealth Fund and the Russian Finance Ministry, the ministry said in a statement.
"Australia has now targeted all Russian Government entities responsible for issuing and managing Russia's sovereign debt," the press release said.
The sanctions have also affected Sberbank, Gazprombank, VEB, VTB, Rosselkhozbank, Sovcombank, Novikombank, Alfa-Bank and Credit Bank of Moscow.
Australia has also expanded the list of individuals who will be given financial sanctions and travel bans.
The list comprises Oleg Deripaska and Viktor Vekselberg.
"The Australian Government reiterates our unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and for the people of Ukraine," the Australian Foreign Ministry said.
