Stefanchuk to Scholz: Don't be fooled, Ukraine being destroyed not only by Putin, but by all Russians who support his policy
Ukraine is being destroyed not only by Russian President Vladimir Putin, but by all Russians who support his policy, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk wrote in an address to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
"Mr. Chancellor Olaf Scholz, do you really think that Putin alone is killing our children, destroying our cities, destroying our country? And the Russians have nothing to do with it? They just support his policies? And the Russian military has nothing to do with it? Are they just following his orders?" Stefanchuk wrote on his Facebook page on Thursday evening.
He recalled that during the trial of the Nazis in Nuremberg, not a single war criminal received an acquittal with similar arguments.
"Don't be deceived. I just want to remind you that during the Nuremberg trials no one managed to get an acquittal with the argument 'I was just following an order,'" the Rada speaker wrote.
