Hetmantsev proposes to seize business property for unmotivated price increase
Head of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy Danylo Hetmantsev suggests that the government and the military leadership of the country consider the possibility of seizing the property of those business representatives who, under martial law, significantly and unmotivatedly increase prices for accommodation services, transportation and a number of goods.
"Regarding information about a significant (multiple) economically unmotivated increase in prices for services for accommodation, transportation and some goods by individual businessmen in different regions of Ukraine who are trying to get super profits on the grief of fellow citizens, I believe that such behavior is a sufficient basis for withdrawing funds from such activities for the benefit of the Ukrainian army in accordance with the laws of war," Hetmantsev said on the Telegram channel on Thursday.
He said he considers such activities not business, but looting.
"I ask the government and the military leadership to consider this possibility and take appropriate measures," Hetmantsev said.
