Woman, covering her four-year-old daughter, killed over shelling of residential area in Zolochiv, Kharkiv region
Russian occupiers continue to shell civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv region, which leads to casualties and injuries among the civilian population.
"Zolochiv community was destroyed, where a woman killed as a result of shelling of a residential area. She covered her four-year-old daughter with her body and thereby saved her life. The child and husband were wounded," the communications department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kharkiv region said.
In addition, on the night of March 17, the Russian armed forces fired on the town of Merefa. Missiles hit a school, a cultural center, and a scientific institution was damaged. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties among the civilian population.
