One person killed, eight, including one child, injured in Rubizhne, Luhansk region amid shelling – Luhansk authorities

The Russian army again tried to capture Rubizhne, Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, but suffered significant losses and retreated, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai said on his Facebook page.

"Near Popasna, the enemy is trying to keep its position," he said.

Haidai said that because of numerous defeats, the enemy cynically goes off on the civilian population. According to him, shelling was all night and continues now.

"In Severodonetsk, Rubizhne and Lysychansk, dozens of residential buildings burned at night. In Rubizhne, one dead, eight adult and a child have been wounded," the head of the region said.

He also said that the Russian military had shelled a pool and posted a video of the building on fire.

"The gas pipeline in Lysychansk was hit," Haidai said.
