Estonian parliament calls on UN member states to close sky over Ukraine – Stefanchuk
The Estonian Parliament called on the UN member states to close the sky over Ukraine from the Russian aggressor, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk said.
"The Parliament of the Republic of Estonia [Riigikogu] adopted a decision calling on the UN member states to close the skies of Ukraine from the Russian aggressor. This is the first decision of the parliament of a country that is part of the EU and NATO," Stefanchuk wrote on Facebook on Monday.
He thanked the Estonian colleagues for this decision, "for their courage and devotion to Ukraine."
"This decision should become an example of determination for other parliaments of the world. After all, parliamentarians are representatives of the people. And the peoples of the world demand decisive action to establish peace and close the skies over Ukraine," the speaker of the parliament noted.
