About 600 residential buildings destroyed in Kharkiv as a result of enemy shelling - Terekhov
In Kharkiv, due to constant shelling of the city by the Russian army, about 600 residential buildings were destroyed and cannot be restored.
According to the press service of Kharkiv City Council, this was announced by city mayor Ihor Terekhov during a video call with Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot.
"We have to relocate, transport people, deliver aid. We also organize hot meals, provide people with medicines, including insulin. We control the situation in the city," the press service quoted Terekhov as saying.
According to him, 50 schools, a number of medical institutions, including maternity hospitals, were also bombed in Kharkiv.
Terekhov noted that now the main task is to save people's lives and stop the war, and the position of the United States is very important in this matter. Terekhov stressed that it is necessary to close the sky over Ukraine and stop the bloodshed.
